The power of prayer

Prayer! An important tool in the Christian Race (power source)

Apart from the awesome wonders and power that dwells in praising God,another means is through prayer

"Pray without ceasing.” 1 Thessalonians 5v17 (KJV)

“Be unceasing in prayer [praying perseveringly];” 1 Thessalonians 5v17 (AMP)

“pray continually.” 1 Thessalonians 5v17 (NIV)

“Never stop praying.” 1 Thessalonians 5v17 (NLT)

“pray all the time;” 1 Thessalonians 5v17 (MSG).

The above passage(1thess 5:17) encourages us to be fervent in prayer at all time

Brethen, don’t stop praying. It's your means of communicating to your heavenly Father continuously and constantly. In Luke 18v1-8 (AMP) the Bible says “Also [Jesus] told them a parable to the effect that they ought always to pray and not to turn coward (faint, lose heart, and give up). He said, In a certain city there was a judge who neither reverenced and feared God nor respected orconsidered man. And there was a widow in that city who kept coming to him and saying, Protect and defend and give me justice against my adversary. And for a time he would not; but later he said to himself, Though I have neither reverence orfear for God nor respect orconsideration for man, Yet because this widow continues to bother me, I will defend and protect and avenge her, lest she give me intolerable annoyance and wear me out by her continual coming or at the last she come and rail on me or assault me or strangle me. Then the Lord said, Listen to what the unjust judge says! And will not [our just] God defend and protect andavenge His elect (His chosen ones), who cry to Him day and night? Will He defer them and delay help on their behalf? I tell you, He will defend and protect and avenge them speedily. However, when the Son of Man comes, will He find [persistence in] faith on the earth? This is a very big question we ought to ask ourselves. ”

Beloved, In the face of discouragement, disappointment, impossibilities, mountains, lies of the devil, feelings of condemnation or guilt, whatever it may be, keen on praying. Keep on trusting in God. Even when it doesn’t seem like an answer is close at hand, do not lose heart, keep praying, do not give up. Even when the enemy seems to be accusing you and making you feel as though God is angry at you – keep on praying. Remember we stand not in our own righteousness, Romans 5v1-2 (NLT) telling us “Therefore, since we have been made right in God’s sight by faith, we have peace with God because of what Jesus Christ our Lord has done for us. Because of our faith, Christ has brought us into this place of undeserved privilege where we now stand, and we confidently and joyfully look forward to sharing God’s glory.”

Supplementary
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding on behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people).” Ephesians 6v18 (AMP).
